When I export the model from Rhino to Keyshot, an issue like the one shown above appears. I’ve encountered this problem again and again — does anyone know how to fix it?
If you re-tesselate the model, does that work? Looking at their position compared to the faucet knobs I would say it has to do with the model of the faucet knobs.
Hi
I think it’s more from the rhino model than KS import.
Keyshot uses the rhino tesselation settings. If your model has a quite big tolerance or a geometry that is merged with gap, you’ll have them in keyshot and retessalate with KS will retreive the original geometry, with the gaps.
Best is to check the geometry inside rhino and use ‘custom mesh’ in the property panel with more polygon settings. Then import that model in KS, that should fix your issue.
Best
Thanks, Plerre. The thing is, I’m not sure how to adjust the parameters.
Interestingly, when I imported the model using KeyShot’s plugin button, the sharp spike didn’t appear anymore.
Have you tried “Shrink Trim Surface” in Rhino?
